Car radio code – help and FAQ
Quick answers to the questions we hear most. If yours is not here, email support@getradiocode.com.
Frequently asked questions
Is GetRadioCode free?
Yes, with no account. Each visitor can check up to 3 different serial numbers every 24 hours. Only the human code service for radios we cannot calculate is paid.
Is there a limit on lookups?
You can check up to 3 different serials every 24 hours. Trying the same serial in other calculators – for example a second variant for your car – does not count. Radio codes are anti-theft codes, so the limit stops automated harvesting. If you need more codes, our team can help.
Which brands do you cover?
Free calculators or lookups exist for Ford, Renault, Dacia, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi (AUZ1Z4), Opel/Vauxhall, Peugeot, Citroën, Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge, Volvo, Toyota/Lexus (ERC), Jaguar and GM, and for radios by Blaupunkt, Becker, Clarion, Alpine, Grundig, Philips, Delco, Delphi and Continental – see the calculators page. Our team can help with every other brand.
The code does not work. What should I do?
Stop and check the serial and the calculator you used – the wrong variant is the most common cause. Many brands have several calculators; try the next one only after the lockout has cleared.
Do you store my serial number?
The serial is sent to our server only to calculate or look up the code; we do not store it or link it to you. Order requests are stored so we can answer you.
Can I get key or immobiliser codes?
No. We only provide radio codes. Key and immobiliser codes must come from an authorised dealer.
Where is my radio serial number?
Usually on a label on the radio case. See how to find your radio serial number.
My radio says LOCKED or SAFE.
Leave the radio switched on with the ignition on until it asks for the code again. See radio locked after wrong codes.
