Opel & Vauxhall radio code

Opel and Vauxhall radios usually have either a Blaupunkt serial (starting with BP) or a GM serial (starting with GM). Blaupunkt codes are calculated instantly; GM serials are looked up in our Delco and Grundig databases.

Up to 3 different serials every 24 hours per visitor – checking the same serial in another calculator does not count. Only use this for a radio you own. A wrong code can lock the radio for a while – check the serial before entering the code.

Finding the serial

Opel and Vauxhall radios need release keys to come out of the dashboard; the serial is on the label on the case. Before removing the radio, look for the radio code card in the owner’s wallet – it often has the code already.

Frequently asked questions

My Vauxhall radio serial starts with GM – which lookup?

Serials starting GM1500 or GM0205 are in the Delco / GM lookup. Other GM serials (for example GM0303… or GM0200…) are Grundig-made radios – use the Grundig lookup.

Where is the code card for Opel and Vauxhall?

Many cars came with a radio code card or a sticker in the owner's manual. If you have it, the code is printed there – check before removing the radio.

Does this work for CD30, CD70 or Navi units?

Some later GM units (such as CD30/CD70 Navi) are coded to the car rather than using a code. If yours asks for a code and has a GM0 serial, try the database lookup.
