Enter the full 14-character serial number (starts with GM1500 or GM0205).

Looked up in our database

Up to 3 different serials every 24 hours per visitor – checking the same serial in another calculator does not count. Only use this for a radio you own. A wrong code can lock the radio for a while – check the serial before entering the code.

Which part of the serial to enter

GM1500 serial Serial GM1500Y0123456 → enter GM1500Y0123456
GM0205 serial Serial GM020500123456 → enter GM020500123456

How to use the lookup

Enter the 14-character serial from the radio label (for example GM1500Y0123456). These radios were fitted to many Opel and Vauxhall models – see the Opel / Vauxhall page for the other calculators that apply to those cars.

Which GM serials are in this database

The Delco / GM database holds about 1.83 million serials in two series:

Serial starts with Format Serials
GM1500 GM1500 + a letter + 7 digits 1.62 million
GM0205 GM0205 + 8 digits 216,000

Other GM serials – for example GM0303… or GM0200… – belong to radios made by Grundig. Look those up on the Grundig page.

If the serial is not found

  1. Check the serial letter by letter – O and 0, I and 1 are easy to confuse.
  2. Try the Grundig lookup for GM serials outside the two series above.
  3. Still nothing? Send us the serial and our team will check.
