Enter the 17-character VIN.

Looked up in our database

Up to 3 different serials every 24 hours per visitor – checking the same serial in another calculator does not count. Only use this for a radio you own. A wrong code can lock the radio for a while – check the serial before entering the code.

Which part of the serial to enter

VIN on the windscreen or registration Serial 3G1SF21X0AB123456 → enter 3G1SF21X0AB123456

How to use the VIN lookup

  1. Copy the 17-character VIN from the registration document or windscreen.
  2. Enter it above – letters and digits, no spaces.
  3. Enter the radio code as described in your owner’s manual.

For Opel and Vauxhall radios with a GM radio serial, use the Opel / Vauxhall page instead.

Which VINs are covered

The first three characters of a VIN identify the manufacturer. Our VIN database holds about 506,000 VINs, mainly with these prefixes:

VIN starts with Manufacturer VINs
93C… General Motors 178,000
3G1… Chevrolet (Mexico) 177,000
8AG… Chevrolet (Argentina) 76,000
W0L… Opel 72,000
YS3… Saab 2,200

If your VIN starts differently, the radio is probably not in this database – ask our team.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I find the VIN?

The VIN (17 characters) is on the registration document, at the bottom of the windscreen on the driver's side and on a plate in the door frame or engine bay.

Why only the radio code?

We only provide radio codes. Key, immobiliser and alarm codes are security information that should come from an authorised dealer with proof of ownership.

My VIN is not found.
