Count the preset buttons
Most Becker and Blaupunkt radios in older Mercedes cars enter the code by pressing the station buttons, so a radio with 6 preset buttons can only have code digits from 1 to 6. Count the numbered buttons on the front of your radio and choose the calculator with the same number. If a code is rejected, check that you picked the right number of buttons before trying again.
Entering the code
On Becker radios, each preset button usually stands for one digit value: press the buttons in the order of the code digits (for code 3142, press 3, 1, 4, 2) and confirm as described in your manual. Other units are covered in how to enter a radio code.
