Which Fiat calculator do I need?
| Radio maker (on the label) | What to enter | Calculator |
|---|---|---|
| Continental / VDO – VP1, VP2 | last 4 digits of the serial | Fiat Continental VP1 / VP2 (try VP2 version 2 if the first code is rejected) |
| Daiichi | last 4 digits of the serial | Fiat Daiichi |
| Blaupunkt | last 3 of the 4 digits after BP + last 7 digits | Fiat Blaupunkt |
| Radio shows a pre-code | letter + 3 digits, e.g. A100 | Fiat pre-code |
Where to find the serial
The serial is printed on the label on the radio case, so the radio usually has to come out of the dashboard (Fiat radios need a pair of release keys). Some owners also find the code on the code card supplied with the car – check the service book wallet first.
Entering the code
On most Fiat radios, each preset button sets one digit of the code: press 1 until the first digit is right, then 2, 3 and 4, and confirm with the button shown in your owner’s manual (often 5 or 6, or a long press on the last digit). Wrong codes lock the radio for a while – see locked radio.
